CES HOOPS class – Old Throwback Class has a New Role

By October 25th, 2018No Comments

The CES HOOPS (Hands On Operator Pool School) has an entirely new role in our educational program, but actually the class is throwback from the 1980’s. The 1980’s version of the Operator Pool School trained hundreds of pool operators – and was always well attended with as many as 50 students in a class. It was so popular, and we were asked to bring it back. So… here it is.

What it is:

The HOOPS class is an 8-Hour hands-on class with 10 learning stations including:

  • DOH Code Compliance,
  • Chemical Feed Systems,
  • Understanding Equipment Room piping,
  • Understanding ORP,
  • Pumping Systems made easy,
  • Working with your filters,
  • Simplified Water Balance,
  • Chemical Controllers
  • and more. It combines some classroom with hands-on learning on the deck in the equipment room.

Double Duty:

The HOOPS class is great by itself as a refresher course for operators that want more info on some items not covered in any normal 2-day lecture certification class. But there’s more… if you’re looking for full operator certification that is required and approved by DOH 64E-9 Code, then you merely take the AquaTech online course…. That plus the HOOPS class gives you a Nationally Recognized AquaTech 5-year pool operator certification.
