Education is one of the keys to affordable and code-compliant pool operations. Many states require a nationally-certified pool operator on staff, and the other states, along with the national MAHC (Model Aquatic Health Code), consider it a best practice. Aquafinity has been a leader in operator certifications since the early 1990s, and we’re proud to offer the three leading industry operator certifications both in-person and online.
We’ve developed a variety of specialty courses tailored to demystify popular treatment systems and trends. Many of these courses have received Department of Professional Regulation certification for continuing education credits (CEUs) for building managers, certified contractors, and industry professionals.

Saline Chlorination
The Aquafinity Saline Chlorination course provides a broad overview of this popular type of chlorination, including versions that directly inject salt in the pool or use salt in a sidestream treatment process. Also known as the “making chlorine out of recycled pool water” course, it provides a clear description of the benefits, viability, and limitations of the technologies, while discussing methods to apply in a self-funding manner.
Guerilla
A popular Aquafinity course since the mid-1980s, the Guerilla Pool Management Course provides managers and operators with a quick, concise, and comprehensive overview of swimming pool management techniques.
(ORP) Oxidation Reduction Potential
This five-star rated Aquafinity course provides an interesting and clear understanding of the most misunderstood treatment topic — ORP, the “engine” behind pool water treatment systems.
Proven Green Technologies
This popular Aquafinity course will review and increase awareness of proven technologies for commercial pools and spas. You’ll learn reliable alternative heating, disinfection, filtration, and circulation methods that are eco-friendly while consuming less energy and saving money. Utility rebates may apply in some areas.
Aquafinity U
