Taylor Technologies

Taylor Slide Comparators are systems for colorimetrically determining solute levels in water. In each test, a liquid sample is treated with reagents causing a color to develop. The K-1741STR comes with the capability to test for Total and Free Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness. It contains a Slide comparator with 9 color standards, the Watergram Water Balance Calculator, and inside is an attache-style carrying case so you can take your lab poolside.

Maintaining safe pool/spa water for the public is an important responsibility. Therefore, precise test results are essential when checking the water quality of commercial pools and spas. Taylor’s 2000 Series is designed for the kind of comprehensive, routine testing performed by service technicians, public and semi-public pool operators, and other professionals. Taylor’s 2000 Series uses printed color standards to achieve a reliable and accurate color match, making frequent test comparisons even easier. 2000 Series kits feature six different standards for chlorine (High Range: 0.5-5 ppm, Low Range: 0.25-2.5 ppm), bromine (HR: 1-10 ppm, LR: .5-5 ppm) and pH (7.0 to 8.0). The Taylor Complete kit includes nine tests for thorough testing…Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, Bromine, pH, Acid Demand, Base Demand, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, and Cyanuric Acid.

Taylor has the test you need to assure excellent water quality whether you’re a do-it-yourself caring for a private pool, an environmental health professional monitoring a public pool, or an aquatic facility operator.

The Taylor K-2006 Complete (FAS-DPD Chlorine) Test Kit is another easy-to-use kit from Taylor, giving you the ability to accurately measure all the critical elements of water chemistry, including chlorine, bromine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, base demand, and acid demand.

Water sanitation, bather safety, and health code compliance— these are the major items health officials focus on when inspecting public pools and spas. Taylor makes Pool Inspector™ test kits designed for such compliance inspections: K-2007, K-2007C, and K-2009.

These kits contain the tests inspectors care about most:

  • chlorine and bromine
  • pH (because of its impact on chlorine’s efficacy)
  • cyanuric acid (if the water is chlorinated and outdoors exposed to sunlight).

The difference between the K-2007/K-2007C and the K-2009 is the method used to test sanitizer. The K-2007 and K-2007C kits use DPD to determine chlorine/bromine residuals, while the K-2009 uses FAS-DPD.
